Raven's destiny

11 March, 2010.
WHATEVER Black Raven does on the racetrack could be just a shadow of her future.
That's because Kristina Arnold, who owns and trains the daughter of Black Enforcer-Raven Poldar, has a breeding career mapped out for the bitch.
Black Raven added to her value as a potential broodbitch when leading throughout to win a 600m 5th Grade at Albion Park on Thursday night.
She scored by a length and three-quarters in 35.74 beating Dyna Saw with three-quarters to Hara's Cyclone in third.
It was only her second win at headquarters, but Black Raven has always shown great ability.
At her debut at Albion Park she ran 30.27 and great things were expected of her.
"She flipped over and hurt a leg at the finish of a race at Albion Park," said Kristina.
"We had to fix that and then had to get her confidence back."
That took some time but Black Raven's confidence has been boosted since she has switched to 600m racing.
"She hasn't been at her fittest until tonight," said Kristina.
The bitch led throughout and while Dyna Saw and Hara's Cyclone made runs at her in the home straight, the winner was too good.
It was her 10 victory in 42 starts but she has also run 13 placings.
