General Manager’s Welcome
It was great to see the
return of 710m racing to
Monday Run of the Night
Congratulations to Liams Smile and trainer Eric Honeyman for winning The Mad
Chinaman’s Restaurant run of the night for Monday 3 April.
The
GRA received only 13 nominations for the heats of the Clem Jones Cup. As a
result, there are no heats on 6 April – a Best 8 event taking the place of the
heats. The Cup will be run on 13 April, with the Best 8 nominated plus
reserves, with $5000 prizemoney plus trophy to the winner.
Token Jet
A big 8.25 length win to the impressive son of Token Prince and Miss
Corleone last Thursday night in a career best 29.95 sec. It was Token Jet’s fourth win in a row on a
Thursday night, and his 14th win from 24 starts at the track.
Monday 600m Maidens
Friday 520m Maiden Heats (not 14 April – Good Friday)
Final the following Thursday $1000 winner

Daylight
Saving
Daylight Saving ended on
Sunday 2 April. Monday and Thursday meetings will have similar starting times,
however the Friday meetings will start later.

It may be small but it is important. Many people have asked me to address issues which can be quickly and easily resolved. Some of those that you may have noticed are:

Finish Lynx photos are now added to the video replay
where a photo finish is called for.

A paper towel dispenser is now available in the
kennel block. It is located on the wall next to the racing rugs, and will make
it easier and neater when you need a paper towel.

We have been asked if racing rugs are available in
extra large size. Unfortunately, at this point in time the largest size is
“large”.

Easter Thursday Program
Next Thursday, 13 April we will be providing chocolate easter bunnies for all kids on course and easter baskets will be presented to all race winners.
Good Friday
There will be no racing and no trialling on Good Friday.
BGRC Website
The BGRC website is about to be redeveloped. Dinky Di Web Designs will be undertaking the project for the Club. We will keep you updated on the progress and are happy to take suggestions on what you would like to see on the web site. Contact Luke at the club office.
