Monday Run of the Night
Congratulations to Ellie’s Diamond and trainer John Edwards for winning The Mad Chinaman’s Restaurant run of the night for Monday 17 April. Monday night’s win was Ellie’s Diamond’s 14th win from 33 starts and her 7th win at Albion Park – and she’s only 26 months of age.
Berella Electra
Congratulations to Ron Ball and Berella Electra for running a gallant second in the final of the Golden Easter Egg last Saturday. 

Clem Jones Cup
Token Jet did it again last Thursday night with a 29.91 race record run to win the Clem Jones Cup. That was 6 in a row for the Jet at Albion Park.

Leukaemia Foundation – World’s Greatest Shave

The Leukaemia Foundation’s – World’s Greatest Shave to Care and Cure will be held from 4-6 May. The Club will be hosting its own shave event on Thursday 4 May. Marie Heck is the first volunteer for a haircut. We are looking for other volunteers to participate on the night.  Perhaps it is time for a haircut or a colour? We can help you out!! Donations will be collected on the night, but can also be made prior to the 4th May at the Club Office.

The Club would like to thank Garrard’s for their continued sponsorship of greyhound racing at Albion Park.
Incentive Programs
The Club will commence the incentive programs from Monday 1 May 2006.
Monday: The Moonlight Farms Bonus Dog. One dog will be drawn each Monday night as the bonus dog. 
If that dog wins the connections will win a free service to one of Moonlight Farms sires.
Thursday: The Moonlight Farms Pick 6.  This will be a racebook competition where patrons will be able to nominate the winners of races 3 to 8. Anyone successfully picking all 6 winners will receive the Jackpot Prize.  The prize will start at $100 and jackpot by $20 each week that it is not won.
Friday: Albion Park Jackpot Dog – trainer’s incentive. Cost will be $5 per dog – optional entry.  Entry is to be paid at the Club Office.  One dog will be drawn as the Jackpot dog. If that dog wins its event, the trainer will be awarded the Jackpot. If the prize is not won, the Jackpot increases for the next week.

Full details and conditions will soon appear in the race book.

Track Maintenance
The track will be undergoing minor maintenance on Saturday 22 April, weather permitting. This is not the major turning of the track that takes place in September.

Back-Up Lure Drivers
The Club has identified two staff who will be trained as back up lure drivers. We will ensure a thorough training program with Jim Bauer and Bevan Williamson conducting the training.

Change in Nomination Deadline
Please note nominations for the meeting on Friday 28 April will close at 8.30am on Monday 24 April.



Anzac Day
The Office will be closed Tuesday 25th April for the Anzac Day Holiday. Trial bookings for Wednesday trials can be made between 10am and 2pm on Monday 24th April.

Trials
Wednesday  8.45am to 11am. Please book with the club on Tuesdays between 8.30am and 12pm (Mon 24th April 10am – 2pm) 
Friday from 7.20pm. Please book with the club Wednesdays between 12pm and 4pm.
