As
of Tuesday, 1 July 2003 the
Greyhound Racing Authority will assume the responsibility for
the payment of prizemoney on behalf of all Greyhound Racing
Clubs in Queensland. The method of payment will be by Electronic
Funds Transfer only to a nominated bank account.
Prizemoney
will continue to be paid “to
the trainer acting as agent for the owner, unless the owner
specifically requests in writing to the Authority that prizemoney
is paid to him/her.”
Kennel
information for greyhounds leaving or entering your kennels
is compulsory and facilitates the payment of prizemoney to the
correct person.
Prizemoney
payments up to $5,000 (five thousand dollars) will be made on
the Monday of each week for the preceding week’s racing (Monday
to Sunday) regardless of whether the greyhound has been swabbed.
If a greyhound has been swabbed and the prizemoney is $5,000
(five thousand dollars) or more the payment will be made once
the swab has been cleared.
For
all payments either a Recipient Created Tax Invoice or an Invoice/Statement
will be mailed detailing date, track, greyhound’s name and amount
deposited.
