Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 16th of April 2010 in relation to the urine sample numbered 290657 taken from the greyhound “CELICA ASSASSIN” which competed on the 26th of February 2010 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club in Race 6 (placed 5th) and subsequently returned positive to the prohibited substance Dexamethasone.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. John Field of Logan Reserve to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mr. Field.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance

Mr. Field pleaded guilty as charged.

Mr. Field’s licence was suspended for a period of 3 months and fined $750.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “CELICA ASSASSIN” under R 83 (4) from Race 6 (placed 5th) at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club meeting held on the 26th of February 2010.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mr. Field was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.

Mr. Field was advised of his obligations under Local Rule 26.
