Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 10th of December 2009 in relation an official complaint received by the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club concerning the conduct of Licensee Mr Dennis Welch following the running of a Club trial held at the Brisbane Club on Wednesday the 25th November 2009.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. Dennis Welch of Raceview to appear.

Evidence was taken from Mr. Welch, Brisbane Club officials Mr. Graham Haswell, Ms. Fiona Geary, and Mr. Stephen Thorsby.

After considering all the evidence Stewards charged Trainer Mr. D. Welch under R 86 (f) (iv) which states;
A person (including an official) shall be guilty of an offence if the person-
(f) engages in, publishes or causes to be published, broadcasts or causes to be broadcast, the use of any contemptuous, unseemly, improper, insulting, or offensive language, conduct or behaviour in any manner or form towards, or in relation to-
(iv) any other person having official duties in relation to greyhound racing;

Mr. Welch pleaded guilty as charged.
Mr. Welch was suspended for 3 months.
Mr. Welch was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
Mr. Welch was advised of his obligations under Local Rule 26.
