Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 17th of April 2010 in relation to the urine sample numbered 290876 taken from the greyhound “ELUSIVE’S SHADOW” which competed on the 20th of March 2010 at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club in Race 7 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned an abnormality to the drug 6a-hydroxystanozolol.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. Mark Bube of Berserker to appear.

Notification was received from the Racing Science Centre that there were a number of major non compliance issues regarding the collection of this sample.

Considering the implications of these issues regarding section 352A of the Racing Act a direction was given to the Racing Science Centre not to proceed with the analysis of the Referee Sample. As such the second Certificate of analysis would not be obtained.

Therefore as a result Stewards informed Trainer Mr. M. Bube that the matter could not be taken any further and no action was taken.

Mr. Bube was reminded of his obligations to present his greyhounds free of any prohibited substance when racing.
