Stewards opened an inquiry into the conduct of Trainer Kevin Galloway when present during a hearing in the Stewards Room at the meeting conducted by the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club on 24th March 2006.

Mr. Galloway was directed to appear at the inquiry.

After taking evidence from Mr. Galloway and Stewards S. McGrath, G. Small and J. Muir, who officiated at the meeting, Mr. Galloway was charged under GAR Rule 125(1)(f)(i) which states: Any person (including an official) who: engages in, publishes or causes to be published, broadcasts or causes to be broadcast, the use of any contemptuous, unseemly, improper, insulting, or offensive language, conduct or behaviour in any manner or form towards or in relation to a Steward, shall be guilty of a offence and liable to a penalty pursuant to Rule 131. The specifics of the charge related to alleged improper conduct.

Mr. Galloway, who pleaded not guilty, was found guilty as charged and was suspended for 6 months, with the suspension wholly suspended conditional on Mr. Galloway not being convicted of an offence of a like nature during that period, and fined $500.

Mr. Galloway was informed of his rights of appeal.
