                                                      D. BARBOUR (STIPENDIARY STEWARD)

Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 16th July 2009 in relation to the alleged threats made towards the Chairman of Stewards Mr. Danny Ryan, through written correspondence dated the 25/06/2009.

Stewards directed Licensee Mr.  Gregory Kennedy of Coominya to appear.

Evidence was taken from Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Ryan.

Stewards charged Licensee Mr. Kennedy under R 86 (g) which states;

A person (including an official) shall be guilty of an offence if the person-

(g) wilfully assaults, obstructs, impedes, abuses, interferes, threatens or insults the Controlling Body, any member of the Controlling Body, a club, any member of the committee of a club, any Steward or any other official of the Controlling Body or a club in or at any place including in or in the vicinity of the place where an inquiry is to take place, is taking place or has taken place;

 
Mr. Kennedy pleaded not guilty to the charged.

Mr. Kennedy was found guilty as charged.

Mr. Kennedy was suspended for 3 months and fined $500.

Mr. Kennedy was read his rights of appeal.
