Stewards opened an Inquiry at 11.00am in relation to the urine sample numbered 243908 taken from the greyhound “NO CONSPIRACY” which competed on the 8th January 2007 at the Brisbane Greyhound Club Meeting in Race 4 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Dexamethasone and Theobromine.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. John Field of Logan Reserve to appear.

Stewards took evidence from Trainer John Field.

Stewards charged the Trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mr. Field pleaded guilty as charged.

Mr. Field was fined $750.

The greyhound “NO CONSPIRACY ” was disqualified from Race 4 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 8th January 2007.

Connections were directed to return the prize money to the Greyhound Racing Authority.

Mr. Field was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
