Stewards continued the adjourned inquiry from Saturday 12th January 2010 in relation to an incident in the kennel block after Race 10 between trainers W. Kempshall and M. Campbell.

Further evidence was taken from both trainers and witnesses.

After considering the evidence Mr Kempshall was charged under the provisions of Rule 86(o) for acting in a manner in the kennel block which stewards deemed to be improper.  Mr Kempshall was found guilty of the charge.  In assessing penalty stewards took into account that this was the second time in the past eight weeks that Mr Kempshall has been found guilty of a similar offence.  Subsequently Mr Kempshall was disqualified for a period of six months, three months of which was suspended for twelve months pending no similar offences are committed in that period.
