Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 11th of September 2009 in relation to the urine sample numbered 281010 taken from the greyhound “KID BILLIE” which competed on the 25th of July 2009 at the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club in Race 5 (placed 6th) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Diclofenac.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. Neville Cumner of Bucca to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mr. Cumner.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance  
 
Mr. Cumner pleaded guilty as charged.
Mr. Cumner was suspended for 1 month and fined $750.

The penalty applied to Mr. Cumner will commence at midnight on the 12th September 2009.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “KID BILLIE” under R 83 (4) from Race 5 (placed 6th) at the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 25th of July 2009.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mr. Cumner was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
