Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 20th of November 2009 in relation to the urine sample numbered 284463 taken from the greyhound “LILLYARNA” which competed on the 9th of October 2009 at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club in Race 3 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Dexamethasone.

Stewards directed Trainer Mrs. Anne Southee of Beenleigh to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mrs. Southee.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance  
 
Mrs. Southee pleaded not guilty as charged.
Mrs. Southee was found guilty as charged.
Mrs. Southee was suspended for 2 months and fined $750.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “LILLYARNA” under R 83 (4) from Race 3 (placed 1st) at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 9th of October 2009.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mrs. Southee was read her rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.

Mrs. Southee was advised of her obligations under Local Rule 26.
