Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 8th of December 2009 in relation to the urine sample numbered 285301 taken from the greyhound “MISS DESIGN” which competed on the 14th of October 2009 at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club in Race 3 (placed 3rd) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Dexamethasone.

Stewards directed Trainer Mrs. Jill Hay of Thagoona to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mrs. Hay.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance  
 
Mrs. Hay pleaded not guilty as charged.
Mrs. Hay was found guilty as charged.
Mrs. Hay was suspended for 2 months and fined $750.

The penalty applied to Mrs. Hay will commence at midnight on the 8th December 2009.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “MISS DESIGN” under R 83 (4) from Race 3 (placed 3rd) at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 14th of October 2009.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mrs. Hay was read her rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.

Mrs. Hay was advised of her obligations under Local Rule 26.
