Stewards convened an Inquiry at 6.30pm in relation to the urine sample numbered 240887 taken from the greyhound “MISS HOT WEST” which competed on the 17th of February 2007 at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club in Race 3 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Theobromine.

Stewards directed Trainer Mrs. Christine Pollard of Emerald to appear.

Stewards took evidence from Trainer Christine Pollard.

Stewards charged the Trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mrs. Pollard pleaded not guilty.

Mrs. Pollard was found guilty as charged.

Mrs. Pollard was fined $250.

The greyhound “MISS HOT WEST” was disqualified under GAR 124 (1) from Race 3 (placed 1st) at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 17th February 2007.

Mrs. Pollard was read her rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
