Stewards opened an Inquiry in relation to the greyhound “REET PETITE” which competed in Race 3 at the Gold Coast Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 4th of April 2006

Stewards questioned Trainer Mr. Robert Wall of Hendra in relation to the identification of the greyhound “REET PETITE”.

Stewards subsequently allowed the greyhound to take its place in the field.

Further investigation has revealed that in fact the greyhound that competed at the Gold Coast meeting as “REET PETITE” was “WACKY FROG”.

As a result Stewards disqualified “REET PETITE” from the race under GAR 84.

Mr. Wall was subsequently reminded of his obligations under GAR142A to clearly identify any new greyhounds that take their place in his establishment.

Stewards finalized this matter.

However, as a result of evidence given at this Inquiry, Stewards have undertaken further investigations into the career race starts of both “REET PETITE and “WACKY FROG” with both greyhounds stood down until investigations are completed by Stewards.
