Stewards convened an Inquiry at 11.00am in relation to the urine sample numbered 245062 taken from the greyhound “SIZE COUNTS” which competed on the 17th of February 2007 at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club in Race 4 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Heptaminol.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. Rex Marshall of Carbrook to appear.

Stewards took evidence from Trainer Rex Marshall.

Stewards charged the Trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mr. Marshall pleaded guilty.

Mr. Marshall was suspended for 3 months and fined $500.

The greyhound “SIZE COUNTS” was disqualified under GAR 124 (1) from Race 4 (placed 1st) at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 17th February 2007.

Mr. Marshall was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
