Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 28th of November 2009 in relation to the urine sample numbered 278703 taken from the greyhound “ROLLING SURF” which competed on the 10th of October 2009 at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club in Race 1 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Heptaminol.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. Allan Svensen of North Rockhmapton to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mr. Svensen.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance  
 
Mr. Svensen pleaded guilty as charged.

Mr. Svensen was suspended for 6 months and fined $500.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “ROLLING SURF” under R 83 (4) from Race 1 (placed 1st) at the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 10th of October 2009.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mr. Svensen was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.

Mrs. Svensen was advised of his obligations under Local Rule 26.
