C.McLUNE CHIEF STEWARD - INVESTIGATIONS
Stewards convened an Inquiry at 3.30pm in relation to
the urine sample numbered 250761 taken from the greyhound
“TYPHOON BANDIT” which competed on the 6th
of July 2007 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club in
Race 10 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive
to the drug Theobromine.
Stewards directed Trainer Mrs Jean Hose of Chambers Flat
to appear.
Stewards took evidence from Trainer Mrs. Hose and Veterinary
Surgeon
Dr. Mac Charles Welch.
Stewards charged the Trainer under GAR 122, which
states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound
for the Event free of any drug.
Mrs. Hose pleaded not guilty.
Mr. Hose was found guilty as charged.
Mrs. Hose was fined $250.
Stewards disqualified the greyhound “TYPHOON BANDIT”
under GAR 124 (1) from Race 10 (placed 1st) at the Brisbane
Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 6th July 2007.
Mrs. Hose was directed to return the prizemoney won by
“TYPHOON BANDIT” on the 6th July to the Greyhound
Racing Authority.
Mrs. Hose was read her rights of Appeal at the conclusion
of the Inquiry.
