Stewards convened an Inquiry on the 11th of September 2009 in relation to the urine sample numbered 281000 taken from the greyhound “THINK GREEN” which competed on the 1st of August 2009 at the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club in Race 4 (placed 5th) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Theobromine.

Stewards directed Trainer Mr. John Green of Maryborough to appear.
Evidence was taken from Mr. Green.

Stewards charged the Trainer under R 83 (2) (a) (d) which states;
(2) The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound
(a) nominated to compete in an Event
(d) shall present the greyhound free of any prohibited substance  
 
Mr. Green pleaded guilty as charged.
Mr. Green was fined $275.

Stewards disqualified the greyhound “THINK GREEN” under R 83 (4) from Race 4 (placed 5th) at the Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 1st of August 2009.

Prizemoney must be returned to Greyhounds Queensland.

Mr. Green was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
