Stewards re-opened an Inquiry in relation to an incident that took place in the kennel block of the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club following the last race on Wednesday night 18th October 2006.

Stewards accepted evidence from Trainer Mr. Trevor Gray, Steward Mr.C.Clifford, along with written submissions from Kennel Attendants E.Simkins and S.Muir.

As a result Stewards charged Mr. Gray under GAR 125(1)(F)(i) which states:
Any Person (including an Official) who; engages in, publishes or causes to be published, broadcasts or causes to be broadcasts, the use of any contemptuous, unseemly, improper, insulting, or offensive language, conduct or behaviour in any manner or form towards, or in relation to: (i) a Steward.

Mr. Gray pleaded guilty.

Mr. Gray was Suspended for 12 months and fined $500.

Mr. Gray was read his Rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
