Stewards Inquiry 10th April 2007

Stewards convened an Inquiry at 10.00am in relation to the urine sample numbered 245059 taken from the greyhound “TYPHOON BANDIT” which competed on the 17th of February 2007 at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club in Race 1 (placed 2nd) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Theobromine.

Stewards directed Trainer Mrs. Jean Hose of Chambers Flat to appear.

Stewards took evidence from Trainer Jean Hose.

Stewards charged the Trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mrs. Hose pleaded not guilty.

Mrs. Hose was found guilty as charged.

Mrs. Hose was fined $250.

The greyhound “TYPHOON BANDIT” was disqualified from Race 1 (placed 2nd) at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 17th February 2007.

Connections were directed to return the prize money to the Greyhound Racing Authority.

Mrs. Hose was read her rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
