Stewards opened an Inquiry in relation to the circumstances which surrounded an incident at Encounter Trialling Track on Tuesday 15 April 2008.

Stewards directed licensees Mr. Shayne Parker and Mr. Renald Attard to appear.

Stewards accepted evidence and submissions from Mr. Parker, Mr. Attard, Mr. Richard Fall, Mr. Stephen Swan, Mr. Alan Porter, Ms. Lois Neal,
Ms. Helen Lamberton, Ms. Margaret Reckless, Mr. David Reckless and
Mrs. Melanie Parker.

As a result, Stewards charged Mr. Parker under GAR 86(a)(o) which states:
Any person (including and Official) who:
(a) contravenes any of these rules;
(o) which states has, in relation to a greyhound or greyhound racing, done a thing, or omitted to do a thing, which, in the opinion of the Stewards or the Controlling body, as the case may be, is negligent, dishonest, corrupt, fraudulent or improper, or constitutes misconduct.

Mr. Parker pleaded guilty.

Mr. Parker was disqualified for 12 months.

Mr. Parker was read his Rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
