Stewards convened an Inquiry at 9.30am in relation to the urine sample numbered 248541 taken from the greyhound “BRINDLE CHASER” which competed on the 28th of April 2007 at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club in Race 2 (placed 1st) and subsequently returned positive to the drug’s Caffeine, Theobromine, Theophylline and Paraxanathine.

Stewards directed trainer Mr. Graham Price of Ormiston to appear.

Stewards took evidence from trainer Graham Price.

Stewards charged the trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mr. Price pleaded guilty.

Mr. Price was suspended for 2 months and fined $500.

The greyhound “BRINDLE CHASER” was disqualified under GAR 124 (1) from Race 2 (placed 1st) at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 28th April 2007.

Mr. Price was directed to return prizemoney won by “BRINDLE CHASER” at Capalba on the 28th April 2007.

Mr. Price was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
