Stewards convened an Inquiry at 2.00pm in relation to the urine sample numbered 249674 taken from the greyhound “BRINDLE CHASER” which competed on the 19th of May 2007 at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club in Race 8 (placed 5th) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Theobromine.

Stewards directed trainer Mr. Graham Price of Ormiston to appear.

Stewards took evidence from trainer Graham Price.

Stewards charged the trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mr. Price pleaded not guilty.

Mr. Price was found guilty as charged.

Mr. Price was fined $250.

The greyhound “BRINDLE CHASER” was disqualified under GAR 124 (1) from Race 8 (placed 5th) at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 19th June 2007.

Mr. Price was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
