Stewards convened an Inquiry at 10.00am in relation to the urine sample numbered 251058 taken from the greyhound “JULIO” which competed on the 29th of June 2007 at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club in Race 3 (placed 6th) and subsequently returned positive to the drug Theobromine.

Stewards directed trainer Mr. Errol Suell of Gumdale to appear.

Stewards took evidence from trainer Errol Suell.

Stewards charged the trainer under GAR 122, which states: The Owner, Trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an Event shall produce the greyhound for the Event free of any drug.

Mr. Suell pleaded not guilty.

Mr. Suell was found guilty as charged.

Mr. Suell was fined $250.

The greyhound “JULIO” was disqualified under GAR 124 (1) from Race 3 (placed 6th) at the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 29th June 2007.

Mr. Suell was read his rights of Appeal at the conclusion of the Inquiry.
