Stewards opened an Inquiry at 1.00pm in relation to the
urine samples taken from the greyhound’s “TIGGERLONG
TEDDY” which competed on the 14th of December 2005
at the Gold Coast Greyhound Club Meeting in Race 10 placed
3rd and subsequently returned positive to the drug Quinine.
“TIGGERLONG JAKE” which competed on the 3rd
of January 2006 at the Ipswich Greyhound Club Meeting
in Race 8 placed 4th and subsequently returned positive
to the drug Quinine.
Stewards took evidence from Mr. Graeme Dunn of Loganholme,
the trainer of ‘TIGGERLONG TEDDY” and “TIGGERLONG
JAKE”.
After hearing evidence in relation to “TIGGERLONG
TEDDY” and “TIGGERLONG JAKE”, Stewards
charged Mr.Dunn under Australian Racing Rule 107 (1) (prior
to January 1st 2006) and Rule 123 (1) (under new Rule
effective January 1st 2006) which states,
“Any person who administers, attempts to
administer, aids or abets any person to administer, or
has prior knowledge of a Drug being administered to a
greyhound for the purpose of effecting it from starting
in an Event shall be guilty of an offence and liable to
a penalty pursuant to Rule 111”.
Mr.Dunn pleaded guilty as charged.
Mr.Dunn was Suspended for 3 Months and fined $250 on
charge 1.

The Stewards ordered the Suspension be served concurrently.
The greyhounds “TIGGERLONG TEDDY” and “TIGGERLONG
JAKE” were disqualified from their respective races
under Australian Racing Rule 108.
Mr.Dunn was directed to return prizemoney won by “TIGGERLONG
TEDDY” and “TIGGERLONG JAKE” to the
Greyhound Racing Authority.
