The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1

NEW MAIL was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start WINGED COMMAND was tightened for room and lost ground when HARA’S TRICK shifted ground inwards.  Approaching the 600m boxes CALL A TOWIE become unbalanced when it shifted ground inwards and bumped with DANCING MANAGER.  As a result of this incident CALL A TOWIE lost ground.  Racing through the top turn when racing in a rearward position CALL A TOWIE checked off the heels of YAMANA and raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 2

Even start.  Shortly after the start CLAIMANT was forced to check off the heels of LADY TYCOON which shifted ground inwards causing CLAIMANT to lose ground.  Passing the catching pen REEL BLUE bumped with RUSH IN causing REEL BLUE to become unbalanced and lose severe ground.  Running through the top turn CLAIMANT and RUSH IN were raced tight and bumping with RUSH IN becoming hampered in running and lose ground.  Over the concluding stages RUSH IN shifted ground outwards and raced tight with LITTLE TOUGHIE for some distance.

 

Race 3

PEPI POWER and RITA ROSE HI were slow to begin.  Running through the bottom turn GO WILD BUSTER was tightened for room when THUNDERING FORCE shifted ground inwards.  As a result THUNDERING FORCE checked off the heels of GO WILD BUSTER and shifted ground out.  Entering the home straight when racing in a rearward position PEPI POWER, RITA ROSE HI and MISS THIRTEEN were racing tight and bumping.  Over the concluding stages GO WILD BUSTER and HE’S UNREAL were racing tight.

 

Race 4

Even start.  Shortly after the start UTTER CHAOS shifted ground outwards and collided heavily with ALBERT ROSE HI who subsequently collided with SPIRIT OF BARNA with both ALBERT ROSE HI and SPIRIT OF BARNA racing tight and bumping for some distance.  Approaching the 600m boxes FATIMA checked off the heels of TRIBE KING.  Entering the home straight ALBERT ROSE HI improved onto the heels of UTTER CHAOS.

 

Race 5

BERELLA CRUZE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MISS CLANCY shifted ground outwards and hampered the running of RABBITOH PETE and COOL JOHNNY.  Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion MISS CLANCY, RABBITOH PETE and BERELLA CRUZE raced tight and were bumping.  Running through the bottom turn BERELLA CRUZE shifted ground inwards and bumped with COOL JOHNNY resulting in BERELLA CRUZ to become unbalanced.

 

Race 6

Even start.  Racing through the bottom turn there was a general scrimmage involving all runners with the exception of BURNT DISCIPLINE causing MIDNIGHT SNACK and JERRY CAN CAP to lose ground.  Both SYMIAN PRIZE and MAJOR BILLY BLUE were also hampered in running as a result of this incident.

 

Race 7

Even start.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion BLUE STORM MISS shifted ground inwards and hampered the running of LEDARO LEWEY which resulted in LEDARO LEWEY shifting ground outwards and hampering the running of CHASIN’ CHLOE and PAKEMINSIN.  Over the concluding stages SHEZ REAL CLASSY shifted ground outwards and bumped with CHASIN’ CHLOE, hampering the running of CHASIN’ CHLOE.

 

Race 8

Even start.  Shortly after the start IMA JALAPENO and HONEY BUNNY bumped.  Approaching the 600m boxes when racing in a forward position COOL GENERATION appeared to falter and continued to lose ground and took no further competitive part in the event.

 

Race 9

Even start.  Shortly after the start KING SIZE LORIAN, JEDI ANGEL and WITCH’S JEWEL raced tight with WITCH’S JEWEL bumping with JEDI ANGEL and losing ground.  Approaching the 710m boxes SPOONER STREET checked off the heels of TED ROSE HI and shifted ground outwards.  Approaching the 600m boxes FOOLISH JORGY was checked in running and lost ground when MELROSE RARE shifted ground inwards.

 

Race 10

DESERT ACE dwelt at the start and was very slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MICALAS’ CARNAGE checked off the heels of SCARLET BAY and shifted ground outwards.  Approaching the top turn MICALAS’ CARNAGE raced extremely wide, shifting ground to the outside fenced and raced extremely wide through the top turn. Stewards spoke to the trainer of MICALAS’ CARNAGE Mr. Kelvin Boston in relation to the performance of MICALAS’ CARNAGE and in particular it’s ability to negotiate the top turn. Stewards noted that in the previous 12 months MICALAS’ CARNAGE had been performing at straight tracks only. Stewards also noted that Veterinary surgeon had identified an injury in running resulting in a 10 day incapacitation period. Mr. Boston advised stewards that he was disappointed in the performance and further advised that MICALAS’ CARNAGE would be resume racing at straight tracks only.
