GENERAL

Race 1

TOURER was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MISS NATURALE was dragged down from behind by DAYSEAS NINGA and as a result both greyhounds lost considerable ground.  In this incident DAYSEAS TAWNEY which was following these runners was also hampered at this point.  Approaching the 600m boxes TOURER checked off the heels of GEMTECH and ran wide through the turn losing ground.  Approaching the home turn MISS NATURALE collided heavily with TIPSY FIVE at the rear of the field.

Race 2

MR. CHUCKLES and STORM PILOT dwelt at the start.  Shortly after the start COMANCHE JET shifted inwards and hampered the running of DAYSEAS WALLY.  Approaching the 600m boxes BOX CAR WILLIE dragged down the running of LONGTIME WONDER which lost ground at this point.  A short distance later COMANCHE JET checked off the heels of LONGTIME WONDER and lost ground.  DAYSEAS WALLY which was following was forced wide on the track at this point.

Race 3

WOOROOLIN DREAM, HOT CIRSTEA and CHUCK WOBBLE were all slow to begin.  Shortly after the start WOOROOLIN DREAM shifted outwards and hampered the running of HOT CIRSTEA causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the 600m boxes when racing at the rear of the field WOOROOLIN DREAM appeared to run very wide through the turn and in doing so severely hampered the running of HOT CIRSTEA.  These greyhounds were tailed off from the remainder of the field.  Approaching the home turn BABY BANJO checked off the hindquarters of CRYPTIC VISION and lost ground.  Over the concluding stages HOT CIRSTEA shifted outwards and turned its head towards WOOROOLIN DREAM without making head and muscle contact with this greyhound.

Stewards interviewed the trainer’s representative of WOOROOLIN DREAM Mr. Peter Sykes regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in today’s event in particular approaching the top turn.  Mr. Sykes was informed by stewards that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m prior to nominating.  The greyhound WOOROOLIN DREAM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Stewards interviewed the trainer of HOT CIRSTEA Mr. Ashley Bock regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in today’s event, particularly over the concluding stages.  In viewing the significant interference suffering in running by the greyhound HOT CIRSTEA and the fact that the greyhounds were tailed off in the event prior to the incident occurring stewards advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory performance must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m prior to nominating.  The greyhound HOT CIRSTEA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 4

CHUCKA WHEELIE and WINDY BOY were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ATOMIC BLAST shifted outward and hampered the running of ROBROY NELLY and DAYSEAS JOSH.  In the back straight DALLAS STAR was held up for clear running inside of FOUR JACKS and lost significant ground at this point.  Rounding the home turn ROYROY NELLY was tightened for room between DAYSEAS JOSH and WINDY BOY and lost ground.

Race 5

Race 11

LETTER RIP RYAN and KELL AND SAL were both slow to begin.  In a general scrimmage approaching the 1st turn JILLIE’S FLASH was hampered losing some ground whilst DYNAMIC LADY and SUZIE BE GOOD were severely inconvenienced and lost considerable ground.  In the home straight FOXY TEMPO collided with the hindquarters of JILLIE’S FLASH and both greyhounds lost some momentum.
