The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.
Race 3 OH REALLY
Race 4 ELITE TEDDY Injured in running, nearside pin, 7 days
GIVE ME DUK dwelt at the start. Shortly after the start FALCON JET and GARY’S CLASS raced tight and bumped for sum distance and both lost ground.
Approaching the first turn ENFORCEABILITY, GARY’S CLASS and FALCON JET all raced tight and lost ground.
Approaching the 600m boxes GIVE ME DUK checked off the heals of HARA’S DESIGN and lost some momentum.
In the home straight HARA’S DESIGN and GIVE ME DUK and both became unbalanced.
POWERFUL PUZZLE was slow to begin. Rounding the bottom turn FERNVALE FLYER was dragged down severely from behind by BRICKS AND MUD and lost significant ground. A short distance later ALWAYS AMANDA checked off the heals of BRICKS AND MUD and lost significant ground.
Approaching the 630 m boxes FEELS GOOD was tightened for room when BRICKS AND MUD shifted inwards and lost ground.
Race 3
MY STINGER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING AMOUR shifted inwards and hampered the running of both EM’S DESTINATION and SEE JOHNSTAR which lost ground.
Approaching the 630m boxes SPRING AMOUR and OH REALLY collided heavily and as a result SPRING AMOUR lost significant ground whilst OH REALLY fell heavily taking no further competitive part in the event. MORE MUSTARD which was following these runners was forced wide on the track losing some momentum.
The greyhound OH REALLY was vetted and found and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4
MISS JENNIFER and WICKET LEE dwelt at the start. Shortly after the start I’M DIFFERENT was hampered in running when WICKET LEE shifted inwards. Rounding the bottom turn ELITE TEDDY run very wide of its own accord and lost significant ground. In the home straight MY COOL JACKSON and MISS JENNIFER and WICKET LEE all raced tight and bumped.
The greyhound ELITE TEDDY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the nearside pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 5
Even start. Rounding the first turn RESTLESS STYLE checked off the heals of KENNY’S KARMA and lost ground. Entering the back straight CORK HARBOUR onto the heals of KENNY’S KARMA and was checked losing significant ground.
Race 6
LAWSON’S HERO was slow to begin.
Race 7
RED JOHN was slow to begin. Rounding the first turn and general tightening RED JOHN and PORT MALARNEY were checked losing ground. Entering the back straight WE’RE NOT THERE checked off the heals of SANDOW losing considerable ground. Approaching the 630m boxes WE’RE NOT THERE checked off the heals of PURE SHOT losing ground.
Race 8
BUCKS A MILLION was slow to begin. Shortly after the start there was general tightening as a result of TIBETAN MAN shifting inwards and as a result LATE STOREM, MR. METRO and TIZZA TOKEN were all severely hampered losing ground.
Race 9
TOO FOOLISH and POP CULTURE dwelt at the start. Rounding the first turn TOO FOOLISH and
POP CULTURE raced tight and bumped both losing ground. Approaching the 630 m boxes TOO FOOLISH was checked losing ground when attempting to improve inside of MYSTICAL MANDY.
Race 10
LESSON FIVE and FINE APPROACH dwelt at the start.
