GENERAL

Race 1

MR. ELIJAH knuckled over at the start and lost considerable ground.  After approximately 100m SOUTHERN IGLOO which was attempting to get to the inside of the track collided heavily with FIVE TIMES.  Both greyhounds became unbalanced and lost ground.  Shortly after this SON OF NERO which was gaining ground appeared to race onto the heels of FIVE TIMES.  As a result both greyhounds collided on several occasions with both  losing some ground.

Race 2

PERFECT SIX was best to begin.  Halfway up the straight ELLA BELLA BOO and PERFECT SIX collided with both greyhounds losing some ground.  Shortly after this ELLA BELLA BOO and HERE BEFORE also collided with again both greyhounds losing ground.  Over the final stages ICY VOODOO appeared to ease of its own accord.  Stewards interviewed trainer Mr. Jeffrey Henzell the trainer of ICY VOODOO.  Mr. Henzell was advised that stewards would be issuing a charge of failing to pursue the lure against the greyhound.  Mr. Henzell waived his right to the 2nd inspection of the greyhound.  The greyhound therefore will be stood down 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial all tracks 366m.

The greyhound ICY VOODOO was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3

Even start.  Shortly after the start GINNAGIN shifted abruptly to the inside of the track.

Race 4

HIGHER GROUND dwelt at the start and lost some ground.  After approximately 100m BALLIN shifted abruptly to the outside of the track.  Approximately 100m from the finishing line POWER UP and BLACK OPAL collided as POWER UP was making ground.

The greyhound BLACK OPAL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the both wrists and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

Race 5

Shortly after the start MY SHOW moved abruptly to the inside of the track.  At about the same stage of the event JAZZ IT UP shifted abruptly to the outside of the track and collided with DARE YOU TOO who was hampered at this stage.

Race 6

Shortly after the start SOUTH WESTERLY shifted to the outside of the track and as a result AMBLE LANCE was tightened for room and lost some ground.  Approximately halfway up the straight SOUTH WESTERLY when shifting abruptly to the outside collided heavily with ELUSIVE DEEJAY.  Both greyhounds lost substantial ground in this incident.  Approximately 100m from the finishing post PICKO appeared to gallop onto the heels of AMBLE LANCE causing that greyhound to lose some ground.

Race 7

Shortly after the start JEWEL’S SON was tightened for room between CARLOS AMEGOS and DESSA WARRIOR.  As a result JEWEL’S SON lost ground.  Shortly after this WILD ALBERT shifted to the outside of the track and collided with JEWEL’S SON who lost further ground.  RABBITOH PETE was also hampered in this incident.

Race 8

Shortly after the start MIGATON and TALAHATCHI collided with both greyhounds racing tightly for some distance in the straight.  RYLEE’S RACEN and STORM BEAR raced tightly in the middle part of the straight.

Race 9

Shortly after the start NIGHT SHIVERS and MAYWYN’S DREAM collided as MAYWYN’S DREAM moved to the outside of the track.  In the middle part of the straight FORREST TINA appeared to sustain a serious injury and took no further competitive part in the event.
