VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

 

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

 

Race 1

WAVES OF GLORY and JACK FROST both collided at the start.  BASIC COVER, MJALA FOURCHE and DESSA WARRIOR were racing tight and bumping shortly after entering the back straight, with all greyhounds losing some ground.  JACK FROST and DESSA WARRIOR both bumped approaching the top turn losing ground.

 

Race 2

AT THE CANTINA, CALL ME BOBBY and BILL OR MONICA dwelt at the start.  Entering the back straight MEGA RUMBLE was making a forward move when checking off the heels of PURE ADRENALIN.  BILL OR MONICA checked off the heels of PURE ADRENALIN approaching the top turn.  Over the concluding stages CHEVEZ tired.

 

The greyhound CHEVEZ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3

DASH OF SHIRAZ and COLD DRINK were slow to begin.  ZEROS AND COMAS and GIVE ‘EM CURRY collided heavily shortly after the start.  Approaching the bottom turn NUNGI shifted wide checking the running of RAZOR BACK.  Rounding the bottom turn RAZOR BACK checked off the heels of NUNGI resulting in RAZOR BACK falling and taking no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight DASH OF SHIRAZ was making a forward move when checking off the heels of IMA HORNET.

 

The greyhound RAZOR BACK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4

ELVIE’S FOOL was slow to begin.  Approaching the bottom turn MENTAWAI eased off the heels of SHEZ ROMANTIC.

 

Race 5

YES PLEASE and GO BLUE BOY collided at the start.  GO BLUE BOY checked off the heels of YES PLEASE after the start resulting in GO BLUE BOY falling and taking no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the back straight ESTEEMED LADY was making a forward move when HIGH DANCER shifted out checking its running.  As ESTEEMED LADY was losing ground it was galloped on from behind by YES PLEASE.

 

The greyhound GO BLUE BOY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6

GARIS GARIS and HOT DRINK collided shortly the start with both greyhounds becoming unbalanced losing ground.  Approaching the bottom turn BETTY’S DIAMOND lost ground checking off the heels of BEST BEHAVIOUR.

 

Race 7

HOT SPUR was slow to begin.  Approaching the bottom turn BELAIR PRINCE and HOT SPUR both bumped losing ground.  Rounding the bottom turn DUE MAIL checked wide off the heels of RED RULER.  EMMY KEOGH and DUE MAIL collided in the back straight losing ground.

 

Race 8

WHERE’S PADDY, MR. GOLD FINGER and BOUZY ROUGE were tight and bumping after the start.  Approaching the top turn TINY UNA and SPRING MALAWAI collided vying for the lead.

 

Race 9

RIVAL MANOEUVRE was slow to begin.  Approaching the bottom turn BONNIE MIST shifted out colliding heavily with BROKEN PISTON, with both greyhounds losing ground.  SNOWBALL TINA lost ground when checking off the heels of TWO FOUR FIVE rounding the bottom turn.

 

Race 10

DREAM SALUTE was slow to begin.  LEDARO LEWEY, SIZE OF JESSIE, HYPO JO and ELLERY all collided after the start with all greyhounds losing ground.
