VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS

The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

Race 1

BEC’S MAGIC was slow to begin. Through the catching pen BEC’S MAGIC shifted out checking PAY UP GUYS and BOLD FRESH.

Race 2

ADANNE was slow to begin. Approaching the catching pen MISTY KIRALEE shifted outwards checking DESSA TEDDY which in turn checked ADANNE. Shortly after passing the 630m boxes BETTY’S DIAMOND was checked when PEDRO’S MISTRESS moved inwards. In the home straight DESSA TEDDY raced wide.

The greyhound BETTY’S DIAMOND was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3

Shortly after the start SERIOUS HEART shifted inwards inconveniencing THUNDER ONYX, INKY LEE and MAJENSKY. Through the catching pen SERIOUS HEART and SWARLEY were checked. Entering the back straight REGAL BOW, SWARLEY and SERIOUS HEART were checked. Approaching the 520m boxes REGAL BOW shifted out checking MAJENSKY.

Race 4

Shortly after the start BLACK WROSE shifted inwards inconveniencing HEZA RACER. Through the catching pen there was general interference with BLACK WROSE shifting out and checking CERASTIUM, which in turn checked ELLE GAMBLE. In this incident BLACK WROSE and ELLE GAMBLE lost considerable ground. Approaching the finishing line ELLE GAMBLE and CERASTIUM raced tight.

Race 5

WITCH FLYER was slow to begin. Through the 1^st turn HARA’S THUNDER shifted out checking CELICA ASSASSIN. In the back straight CELICA ASSASSIN checked off the heels of REGAL FOOL. In the home straight HARA’S THUNDER raced wide.

Race 6

MOONLITE SHEIK and LITTLE AVA were slow to begin. Through the catching pen AFRICAN BUDDY shifted out checking NO PROBS and SHAGGY SHIRAZ. In the back straight LITTLE AVA shifted out checking BLUFF GIRL and AFRICAN BUDDY. Approaching the 520m boxes SHAGGY SHIRAZ and LITTLE AVA raced tight.

Race 7

WHERE’S THE LOVE shifted out checking TITAN ASSASSIN at the start. Approaching the catching pen RUNNING A DREAM shifted out checking SHEZ SO FAST. SHEZ SO FAST lost some ground in this incident. In the back straight HOOPLA HANAH checked off the heels of LOTS OF CHANCES.

Race 8

In the turn out of the straight I’M A SHIRAZ shifted out checking ERISTOFF and JOVIAL JACK. In the turn into the home straight ERISTOFF shifted out forcing JOVIAL JACK to race wide.

Race 9

RED MONTY and FOUR WAY SPEAR were slow to begin. Shortly after the start BROKEN BITS shifted out checking MOONLITE MADAME and FOUR WAY SPEAR. On the turn out of the straight LANSLEY LEE lost ground. Approaching the catching pen BROKEN BITS and MOONLITE MADAME checked. Entering the home straight RED MONTY shifted out and raced wide in the home straight.

The greyhound LANSLEY LEE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side calf muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

Race 10

Shortly after the start ROSE EXPRESS shifted out and checked RAZORBACK RACER. Approaching the 630m boxes FOOL’S MONEY shifted in checking CHELSEA LEE, MARY HOPPINS and ROSE EXPRESS. In this incident FOOL’S MONEY fell and took no further competitive part in the event. DIAMOND SPAR raced wide avoiding this incident.

The greyhound FOOL’S MONEY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks.
