The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 2 SHARP RIVAL Injured in running, off hock, 12 weeks
Race 9 GO BLITZEM Injured in running, near side pin, 10 days
Trainer Tony Brett was fined the sum of $100 (RIPPED JEANS) Rule 86 (o), negligent in nominating a greyhound whilst under a period of suspension.
The greyhound LORD BAKER was declared ‘hard to box’.
FEELS GOOD was slowly away. Shortly after the start PUNISHER, TYPICAL TOE LINE and MASTER MILO all collided with all greyhounds losing some ground. Leaving the straight on the 1st occasion BUCK’S BOY moved off the rail. MASTER MILO was inconvenienced at this juncture. BUCK’S BOY raced widely down the back straight. FEELS GOOD and MASTER MILO which were both racing at the rear of the field collided passing the 630m boxes with MASTER MILO losing further ground. Entering the home straight CELLAR DOOR moved off the heels of MISTY KIRALEE causing CELLAR DOOR to lose some ground. Close to the finishing post CELLAR DOOR moved back to the rails brushing MISTY KIRALEE.
Entering the home straight on the 1st occasion SHARP RIVAL appeared to sustain a serious injury and came to a stop around near the winning post. The rest of the field continued. Attempts to capture SHARP RIVAL was unsuccessful. The greyhound then moved back into the face of the field. With a view to the welfare of the other greyhounds involved the lure driver decided to pull the lure up as it entered the home straight on the 2nd occasion. As a result this race was declared a ‘No race’.
The greyhound SHARP RIVAL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hock and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks.
Race 3
BUCKS A MILLION was slowly away. On leaving the home straight on the 1st occasion RUM BEAR checked off the heels of TOUGH DEFENDER and lost some ground. In the back straight TOUGH DEFENDER checked off the heels of AURIGA TEGIMI and lost ground. In the home straight PURE SHILLOW and MR. DIMERY bumped on several occasions.
Race 4
Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion TIZZA TOKEN moved out and collided with MAYWYN GLORY causing both greyhounds to lose some ground. After leaving the straight MAYWYN GLORY and COME BACK KIM bumped. COME BACK KIM lost some ground in this incident. Approaching the entry to the back straight TIZZA TOKEN which was on the rails attempted to move to the outside and did so colliding with CARLINFORD SAM causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground.
Stewards interviewed trainer Tony Zammit the trainer of TIZZA TOKEN in regard to the greyhounds performance in this race tonight. Whilst stewards conceded to Mr. Zammit that the greyhound met interference on a couple of occasions , they were still disappointed with the overall performance of the greyhound particularly over the final section of the race. Mr. Zammit advised stewards that the greyhound had been buffeted around a couple of runs at Brisbane of late and he thought that moving the greyhound to a different location tonight may assist. He suggested that he may trial the greyhound again on its own to set in his own mind that the greyhound was performing at its optimum level.His explanations were noted.
The greyhound TIZZA TOKEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5
Shortly after the start AURIGA PENGALA, DICE ROLLER, RED THUNDER and DONNA’S KISSY were all involved in a general scrimmage. DICE ROLLER lost considerable ground in this incident. Shortly after DICE ROLLER and MUCKERT’S ROSE collided with MUCKERT’S ROSE losing considerable ground. Entering the home straight AURIGA PENGALA and RED THUNDER bumped with AURIGA PENGALA becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
Stewards interviewed trainer Philip Shaxson regarding the performance of MUCKERT’S ROSE. Although this greyhound did meet some interference early in the race Mr. Shaxson agreed with stewards that the greyhound did no finish the event as well as he had hoped. Mr. Shaxson further advised stewards that it was his intention to try the greyhound in lesser company perhaps at a northern track.
The greyhound MUCKERT’S ROSE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6
Even start. LORD BAKER was checked for a run between SWELL SERVER and DREAM SALUTE shortly after the start and lost some ground. Leaving the straight on the 1st occasion BELTAH MAGIC checked off the heels of ALANNA LORIAN and lost ground. BRICKFIELDS ran wide on the 1st corner and lost considerable ground. SWELL SERVER who was losing ground bumped on two occasions with BELTAH MAGIC in the home straight.
Race 7
ANNIE LORI was slowly away. Entering the back straight HANSON INO moved off the rail and collided with BOGIE THUNDER who lost ground.
Race 8
TRACK TORQUE was slowly away. CORK HARBOUR shifted off the rail entering the back straight and in doing so collided with CALL ME HARRY who lost ground. Entering the back straight SHESA MONA moved back to the inside, and in doing so TRACK TORQUE was checked and lost some ground. CORK HARBOUR and MELROSE RARE raced tightly down the back straight and bumped on several occasions.
Race 9
ALEXIS FIRE and WOODY’S DEBUT who were slowly away bumped shortly after the start. Entering the back straight GERBER’S GIRL checked off the heels of GO BLITZEM and lost ground. WOODY’S DEBUT was also hampered in this incident. AS YOU DO and HIGHLAND GIRL raced tightly and bumped on several occasions in the home straight. From approximately the 630m boxes GO BLITZEM commenced to lose considerable ground. GO BLITZEM eventually finished a considerable distance behind the 2nd last placed greyhound.
The greyhound GO BLITZEM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 10
CHEVEZ was slowly away. CHEVEZ raced widely down the back straight and continued to race widely for the remainder of the event.
